If you haven’t been living under a rock for the last two years, you’ve seen the broadcasted school board meetings where enraged (rightly so) parents come to the podium and attempt to read excerpts from a book that is housed in their children’s school library. Of course, within moments of them starting, their microphones are turned off because it’s pornographic material and there isn’t one person who doesn’t know this to be true.
Even so, the NEA and other teachers’ unions in our country will still push the material on both their educators and their students because they do not care one iota about preserving students’ innocence. They will *say* they have their best interests at heart, but what sane adult thinks that it is acceptable to recommend a graphic novel where an adult is engaging in oral sex with a minor?
