If you asked ten homeschooling moms what their favorite read-aloud of 2022/2023 was, I guarantee at least half would say, “A Place To Hang The Moon” by Kate Albus. Yes, It was that good. The tale follows three siblings (whose parents have died, along with their guardian) in WW2 war-torn England as they are displaced to the countryside, so as not to be in danger of the air-raids. The story that is perfectly woven together features a librarian, plenty of book references, sweet sibling encounters, adventure, and the perfect amount of whimsy.
It’s a modern-day classic.
So, when Bethany and I were contemplating starting a RightBooks4Kids book club, it made sense that our first book would be the upcoming new release by this beloved author: “Nothing Else But Miracles.” It takes place in the same time period as her magnificent debut novel but in New York City. And it centers around, you guessed it, three siblings.
The best part about the book club (aside from the anticipation of reading her newest release)? The fact that we have already spoken with Kate Albus herself and she has not only given us a treasure trove of resources (for everyone!) to share with you, but for paid subscribers, she will be joining us at the end of our reading to discuss her newest masterpiece and answer some questions. Saying we are thrilled would be an understatement!
More details are on the way, but in the meantime, pre-order your copy HERE (it releases on September 5th) and get ready to fly through the pages - we know it’s going to be great!

Hello! We're almost finished with our book. Do we have a time and date for the discussion with Kate Albus?
