Along with much of the rest of the nation, we went back to school this week. Our homeschool co-op had its first meeting of the academic calendar and I taught my first-ever high school course. I’ll be the U.S. History 103 teacher for eleven wonderful teens this year, and the first class went smashingly. I did find myself thinking, “HOW do moms all over the country do this every morning without having a heart attack?” as I ran around our house Wednesday morning trying to get three backpacks checked and lunches made, all while holding baby on my hip. I’m grateful for many aspects of homeschooling but not rushing out of the house every morning has to be at the top of the list.
